What Inspires Me

Creating a safe and positive environment, physically, emotionally and spiritually wherein individuals might experience the freedom of self-acceptance and non-judgment. In this atmosphere, be it group or individual counseling, the wounds and misperceptions of the past will be released, enabling a freer flow of energy and life force. One’s UNIQUE CREATIVE EXPRESSION is thus allowed to manifest naturally. It is believed that the release of the Truth of our Being contributes globally to the elevation of consciousness and healing our world needs.

Practice and Specialties

Individual Therapy

Tailored to age and presenting problem. My education, experience and research has kept me on the cutting edge of what helps people change. So much new information is available now in health and wellness – brain research, somatic awareness and the value of listening intuitively for deeper understanding of the presenting problems. The goal is to feel hopeful, motivated and alive to the possibility of full health.

Couples Therapy

Couples seek therapy for a vast array of reasons. Whether in crisis or not, indifference or stress can be fatal to a relationship if not addressed. The willingness to build bridges of understanding will bring life, truth and healing. Do not hesitate to seek the help you need.

Group Therapy

Womens groups are intermittently available. Typically 6—8 women come together on a weekly basis to support their emotional and spiritual growth. This has provided consistent long-standing support and connection. One benefit of group work is that it normalizes and contains the concerns that many women secretly hold about themselves and their life circumstances. Healing fear allows for expansion and creativity — for love to flourish both within and without of the group setting. We come with the spirit of reverence, humor and freedom to explore change. included is dialogue, somatic body awareness & movement, writing, art, creative visualization, psychodrama and more.

About

Victoria McLaughlin has been licensed as a marriage and family therapist since 1990. Her interest in communication has led to advanced work in group and couples therapy, as well as depth work with individuals. She founded Women in Focus - Women of Spirit in 1989 for the purpose of providing groups for spiritual growth and connection. Group, couples and individual work now involves both men and women who seek enhanced relationships with Self and others. Personally her lifelong interest in yoga and nature helped maintain balance as well as her loving relationships with family and friends.

Chris

"Victoria has been a real gift and it is difficult to put into words the profound impact she has made in our lives and relationship. She is incredibly warm, caring, and insightful. During the last 9 months, she has been a tremendous help to both of us as individuals and together as a couple. She understands us very well and has this gift of being able to know what the root of what is troubling us and leads the discussion and our work to that area. She also has opened our eyes to many new things and we have a much different perspective on the world and life than we did a year ago. We love working with her and look forward to continue to use her as a very powerful teacher and guide."

J & C

"I have attended many of Vicki's workshops and always look forward to them. The beautiful surroundings, the camaraderie and the wonderful food would be enough, but I am always amazed at Vicki's intuitive, nurturing, creative way of working with groups! I leave with a sense of peace and contentment and an enhanced awareness of the magic of everyday life. I leave knowing myself a little better. Thank you Vicki!"
